A note on "Romance".....
Stone Stream is ideal for those of us who are
"Romantically
Challenged".
Mother nature has really laid things on quite thick here.
She is obviously out to impress.
Simply discovering & booking
Stone
Stream is, in itself,
technically deemed an "Act
of Romance".
We are very happy for you to take full credit for the stunning scenery,
starry skies, babbling brook, cute cottage, fab food etc
etc....

A
special note on the weather.
Stone
Stream is situated on the Eastern Dorrigo Plateau in an area known as
Brooklana.
The area is so lush and beautiful because it is at a higher
altitude,
thus, is cooler and much wetter than
right down on the coast.
The high rainfall results in our
stunning rainforests and
landscape.
Sometimes we can experience 4 seasons in a day.
So, always
pack an umbrella & some cool weather clothes even in summer.
-
The
cottage has everything you need to keep you comfortable regardless of
the weather:-
-
The
cool rainforest and creeks for those hot days.
-
The
veranda overlooking the
creek & paddocks is perfect for watching sun showers.
-
The
heater will keep you, and the cottage, toasty warm during those chilly
times.
-
There
are two large umbrellas at the cottage, perfect for sun shower strolls.
-
Rainforest
aromas are delicious after rain.
Summer
is usually
warm during the day, often with an afternoon storm or sun shower.
Autumn
is
characterised by cool crisp mornings, warm days, misty evenings and cool
nights.
Winter
is renowned
for crisp frosty mornings, clearing to stunning sunny days,
followed by
chilly nights, when the mist rolls into the valley like a blanket,
(a
lovely time to cosy up in the cottage).
Spring
can
be unpredictable. Hot and sunny one day, cool
and stormy the next.
